A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support school-based services in Sequim, WA. This role involves working closely with speech-language pathologists to assist students with communication and speech development within a school setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement speech therapy treatment plans as directed by the supervising speech-language pathologist
Assist with student assessments by preparing materials and recording data
Support classroom teachers with communication strategies for students with speech-language impairments
Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and therapy sessions
Collaborate with educational staff and healthcare professionals involved in student care
Qualifications and Experience:
Certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)
Prior experience working as an SLPA in school and healthcare environments is preferred
Ability to follow detailed treatment plans and effectively assist students with speech and language goals
Strong communication and organizational skills
Familiarity with educational and healthcare regulations related to speech services
