Job Title: Machine Operator Assistant
Job Description
We are a leading company in the printing industry, serving major clients such as Trader Joe's, Aldi's, Stop n Shop, and Big Y. We are currently seeking a press operator trainee to join our team. This role offers one-on-one training on various machinery, including a laminator machine, brake press machine, and eventually a slitter machine. The position requires working in a fast-paced setting, using tools such as a ruler and stopwatch, and collaborating with machine operators to learn the operation of each machine. Initially, the role involves gathering materials, loading and unloading machinery, and entering data on a computer based on production activities.
Responsibilities
Assist with operating machinery such as laminator, brake press, and slitter machines.
Gather correct materials for production processes.
Load and unload machinery efficiently.
Use a computer to enter production data.
Collaborate with machine operators to learn and improve machine operation skills.
Essential Skills
Experience with production and machine operation.
Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
Familiarity with assembly and general production processes.
Ability to use micrometers and calipers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience using hand and power tools is advantageous.
Experience in the paper or printing industry is beneficial.
Previous experience in machine operation is a plus.
Enthusiasm to learn new skills.

Work Environment
The work environment is relaxed and consists of a small team of about six production employees. The role requires comfort with getting dirty as you will be working with ink daily. The work is fast-paced, and you must be adaptable to the dynamic and interactive setting.Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $18.00/hr.
