Entry Level Welder
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. You will be responsible for measuring, cutting, and joining aluminum and steel metals according to specifications. This position offers work hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with voluntary overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities
Prepare metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage.
Interpret specifications and blueprints accurately.
Regularly clean and inspect welding equipment and tools.
Determine correct gas ratios.
Test the strength of each join during and after project completion.
Diagnose issues and troubleshoot as required.
Liaise with the supervisor, report any issues, and make suggestions for improvement.
Essential Skills
High School diploma or equivalent.
At least 2 years of experience in a welding position.
Excellent stamina, strength, and dexterity.
Ability to remain calm and focused under pressure.
Sound understanding of welding safety.
Willingness to become welding certified through the company.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately.
Ability to read a tape measure accurately.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with MIG welding.
Familiarity with welding blueprints.
Mechanically inclined.
Experience with TIG welding is a plus.

Work Environment
The work takes place in a smaller fabrication shop. This environment provides opportunities to work closely with a dedicated team, utilizing various welding technologies and equipment.Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
