Job Description
About ANELLO Photonics:
ANELLO (Santa Clara) is a leading-edge technology company that has developed integrated photonic system-on-chip technology for next generation navigation devices. ANELLO's SIPHOGTM gyroscope is based on its patented photonic integrated circuit technology. Our devices are higher performance, much smaller size and weight, at a fraction of the cost of traditional gyros used in industrial-grade, aerospace and military applications. ANELLO products provide low-cost, reliable, and precision navigation and positioning across all autonomous applications. ANELLO has a growing list of market-leading customers in robotics, mining, construction, farming, autonomous air and marine vehicles, as well as a variety of applications within defense and national security segments.
Responsibilities:
Primary Duties: Follow manufacturing and testing process associated with our product. Use a variety of hand tools (screwdrivers, torque drivers), precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers), electronic test equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes), epoxy and soldering stations, fiber coil, and computer software systems to assemble, test, and troubleshoot electromechanical assemblies.
Utilize technical skills to build, inspect, test, verify, and document complex electromechanical assemblies by strictly following detailed production and engineering instructions.
Perform quality inspections on received products from vendors/subcontractors according to written specifications.
Operate and interface safely with manufacturing equipment, electronics, and computer systems.
Adhere to and understand standard operating procedures (SOPs), work instructions, history records, and other relevant documentation.
Escalate and generate reports when deviations from quality or process standards are identified.
Support engineering activities related to research, development, validation, and new product introductions. Including setup of test and calibrations for assembled product/devices.
Requirements:
High School Diploma + Vocational training, technical certifications, or associate’s degree preferred
3+ years relevant experience as a technician or related experience in manufacturing environment.
Proven ability to build and assemble and troubleshoot complex electromechanical systems.
Soldering experience for rework of product(PCBs) during R&D stage and assembly of device in production
Experience troubleshooting assemblies, equipment, and advanced computer systems.
Familiarity with various software tools and aptitude for learning new software applications.
Ability to follow written and verbal assembly and testing instructions given adequate training.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and safety standards

ANELLO (Santa Clara) is bringing precise navigation used in submarines and large aircraft to all things autonomous. We're using Silicon Photonics, SOC, and AI to dramatically reduce the size, weight, power, and cost of the fiber-optic gyroscope - its It's called a SIPHOG. We're building navigation systems (IMU&INS) with our SIPHOGs that enable high precision accuracy at a fraction of the cost of FOGs - way more accurate and not susceptible to vibration or thermal factors like MEMS gyros.
We have growing rev and well funded led by Lockheed Martin. Our products are Ideal for use cases needing high accuracy and/or needing GPS-denied or challenged capabilities. We have customers in various Commercial and Defense segments for autonomous used in Agriculture, Exploration, Robotics, Mining, and many areas of Defense. We are scaling production aggressively this year.
