About Helix Linear

Helix Linear Technologies designs and manufactures high-precision motion control systems for industries where performance matters most, including aerospace, medical devices, defense, and advanced automation. Our products power mission-critical applications where reliability and precision down to 0.0001 inches make all the difference.

Our vision is to engineer what’s possible in motion, with precision, integrity, and purpose. We pursue that vision by designing, machining, grinding, and assembling critical motion components in-house, including precision ball screws and linear systems. Our clean, climate-controlled facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing equipment.

Helix is growing and investing in new equipment, advanced processes, and the systems required to scale with discipline. As we expand, we’re building a world-class precision manufacturing operation, which means higher standards for ownership, communication, urgency, and accountability across every role on the floor.

At Helix, we value ownership, technical excellence, and a growth mindset. If you’re motivated by meaningful work at the intersection of engineering, innovation, and manufacturing, and want to grow with a company shaping the future of motion control, we’d love to meet you.

About the Position

The Inside Sales Representative is the commercial front line at Helix. You own the customer relationship from first contact through order placement, handling inbound inquiries, qualifying opportunities, preparing quotes, and ensuring customers have accurate information and a smooth experience.

This role is not order-taking. It requires product knowledge, clear communication, and the ability to manage multiple active opportunities with discipline and follow-through. You'll work closely with Customer Success, Engineering, Operations, and Planning to give customers reliable answers on lead times, capabilities, and order status.

Success here looks like: fast, accurate responses; a clean, well-managed pipeline; and customers who trust Helix to deliver what it promises.

Responsibilities

Customer & Account Management

Own inbound customer inquiries, respond with speed, accuracy, and professionalism.

Manage existing accounts through regular outreach, order updates, and relationship maintenance.

Understand customer applications and purchasing patterns to anticipate needs and identify opportunities.

Set clear expectations on lead times, capabilities, and order status, and follow through.

Quoting & Order Management

Prepare and send accurate quotes based on customer requirements and current pricing.

Coordinate with Application Engineering on technical questions or non-standard requests.

Manage orders from placement through production handoff, tracking status and communicating proactively.

Maintain accurate, up-to-date records in CRM (Salesforce) and ERP (Epicor) for all opportunities, accounts, activity, and purchase orders.

Pipeline & Opportunity Development

Follow up on open quotes and stalled opportunities with consistency.

Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing accounts.

Support outbound outreach to lapsed accounts or new contacts in target industries.

Flag trends, customer feedback, and market signals to Sales leadership.

Cross-Functional Coordination

Partner with Application Engineering to ensure technical feasibility before committing to customers.

Coordinate with Planning and Operations on lead times, production priorities, and order updates.

Escalate issues quickly and clearly, don't let problems sit.

Who You Are

Responsive and organized: you track everything, follow up without being reminded, and close loops.

Clear communicator: straightforward with customers and internal teams, no fluff.

Commercially driven: you care about hitting targets and building accounts, not just processing transactions.

Technically curious: you don't need to be an engineer, but you're interested in how things work and willing to learn the product.

Steady under pressure: you manage a high volume of accounts and fast-moving requests without losing composure or dropping balls.

What Success Looks Like

Responsiveness: 95% of inbound inquiries acknowledged within one business day.

Quote accuracy: Quotes issued with correct pricing, lead times, and complete specs, minimal rework.

Pipeline hygiene: CRM up to date at all times; no stale opportunities without documented follow-up.

Customer retention: Existing accounts feel well-supported and consistently choose Helix.

Internal alignment: Engineering, Operations, and Planning have what they need from the front end to execute.

Why Join Helix

At Helix, manufacturing isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. Our work is built around precision, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with advanced equipment, alongside machinists, engineers, operators, and commercial team members who take pride in their work and hold themselves to high standards.

Helix is building something meaningful, not just high-precision products, but a company defined by integrity, clarity, and disciplined execution in industries where the stakes are high. We engineer with purpose, take ownership of our work, and believe doing things the right way matters.

We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, PTO, and major holidays, along with steady daytime hours and scheduling flexibility to support work–life balance.

If you take pride in solving problems, contributing to a team that values craftsmanship and accountability, and doing work where precision and reliability matter, Helix is a place where your work will truly matter.Requirements:
