About the role
We’re seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Temporary Data Entry Clerk to support our front reception area and assist with basic bookkeeping tasks in QuickBooks. This is a hands-on role for an organized self-starter who can split time between greeting visitors/answering phones and performing accurate data entry in QuickBooks and related systems. This temporary position is to fill an individual on leave, 14-15 weeks may turn into permanent.
Key responsibilities
- Greet visitors, answer/make phone calls, and manage the reception area politely and professionally.
- Maintain accurate paper records and filing.
- Scan, file, and organize documents; prepare batches for accounting as needed.
- Route mail and support light office administration tasks.
Required qualifications
- 1+ years hands-on QuickBooks experience — comfortable entering transactions and running basic reports.
- Strong data-entry accuracy and typing speed (min. 45 WPM preferred).
- Professional phone/reception etiquette and friendly demeanor.
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, filters) and Google Workspace/Microsoft Office.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain confidentiality, and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
