Oversee all second-shift maintenance for ammonia refrigeration assets and supporting systems.
Guide, mentor, and evaluate a team of 15 refrigeration techs to boost skills and productivity.
Build and run preventive maintenance schedules that extend equipment life and minimize disruptions.
Conduct routine inspections to catch issues early and remove safety risks.
Manage maintenance budgets; track spending and optimize costs.
Partner with outside vendors/contractors for specialized work.
Keep meticulous documentation: work orders, repairs, and parts inventory.
Enforce regulatory compliance and company policies; drive a Safety First culture.Must-haves
Ability to lead, direct, train, and evaluate a 15-person refrigeration team.
Experience measuring performance and reducing downtime through troubleshooting and repair leadership.
Commitment to Safety First and proven ability to instill safe practices.
Experience building and maintaining preventive maintenance programs.
Education beyond high school (vocational training and/or college-level coursework).
3+ years in industrial refrigeration (ammonia experience required).
Elementary computer skills (email, data entry into templates, simple queries).
Travel availability: 1–5 trips per year.
