Title: Quality Assurance, Shipping & Receiving Associate

Description: The Quality Assurance, Shipping & Receiving Associate is responsible for the inspection of finished goods, the receiving of purchased parts and raw materials, and customer shipments. They will work closely with the production team and the account managers to fulfill the required duties.

Key Responsibilities & Duties:

· Sign for deliveries, load and unload delivery trucks/trailers with the use of material handling equipment. Receive and inspect incoming shipments, reviewing pack lists for any discrepancies. If problems are encountered inform the appropriate party.

· Properly maintain shipping and receiving documentation in an organized manner and report details to the appropriate departments, as necessary.

· Store parts and materials within the warehouse according to department, bin location, and/or part number & description.

· Review Job Travelers for satisfactory sign-off and documentation, returning to the production department if deemed incomplete.

· Perform final inspection of finished goods in accordance with blueprint/drawing specifications and company established standards of quality.

· Document instances of rejected parts on the Scrap Worksheet. Make note of special inspection instructions needed on the Job Traveler for future reference. Run daily reports to ensure timely delivery of finished goods and communicate with account managers in the instances of delays.

· Train co-workers on quality control, noting that team members involved in the production of a part are not to aid in the inspection process.

· Prepare items accurately for shipment according to customer orders/instructions. Document all the necessary details pertaining to the shipment.

Oral and Written Communication, Math Aptitude, Computer Literacy, Time Management, Ability to lift up to 30lbs, Organization, Customer Service, Blueprint/Drawing Comprehension, Problem Solving, Pallet Jack or Forklift Operation

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of prior inspection, shipping and receiving experience.
