PIPELAYER
SUMMARY OF PIPELAYER AT LAYTON SERVICES
Responsible for the pipe installation of underground utility systems including water line, sanitary sewer, stormwater sewer, and drains. Your duties will include preparing pipe bedding, laying pipe accurately, and sealing joints. This role requires hands-on experience in trenching, grading, and working with various types and sizes of pipes. You must ensure all installations meet project specifications for alignment, depth, and grade.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lay and align underground pipe for water lines, sanitary sewer, stormwater sewer, and drainage systems.
Prepare pipe bedding and backfill trenches with appropriate materials.
Seal pipe joints and connections.
Inspect installed pipe to verify proper grade, alignment, and depth, and adjusting as needed.
Use instruments such as lasers, grade rods, and transit levels.
Read and understand plans and cut sheets.
Adhere to all OSHA and Layton Services' safety regulations.
Exhibit a responsible, safety-first attitude at all times.

QUALIFICATIONS
Proven experience in trenching, grading, and laying underground utility pipes (water, sewers, drains).
Strong knowledge of pipe bedding, backfilling, and joint sealing techniques.
Ability to operate hand tools and coordinate with heavy equipment operators.
OSHA Trenching and Excavating Certificate (can obtain once hired)
OSHA 10-Hour (can obtain once hired)
