As a Security Officer - Convention Center Patrol in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a highly visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access control and badging, greet visitors with strong customer service, and document activity using a computer and/or tablet. What You'll Do:

Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or commuters by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.

Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, coordinating with site personnel, and contacting public emergency services as needed.

Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, transit platforms, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter prohibited activity and identify maintenance or access-control concerns.

Monitor entrances, gates, and restricted areas for authorized access, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations to the appropriate parties.

Complete timely reports and logs of patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Minimum Requirements:

Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
