Description:

Schedule: Full-time

• Configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise network components including routing, switching, wireless, VLANs, and ACLs.

• Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade network hardware and software.

• Administer and troubleshoot WAN/LAN connectivity and telecommunications systems.

• Support firewall policies, VPN configurations, and secure remote access solutions.

• Interface with various hardware and software platforms to ensure seamless integration.

• Administer Windows and/or Linux servers, including patching, GPO management, security hardening, and performance tuning.

• Maintain and improve backup, recovery, and business continuity processes.

• Lead troubleshooting for complex network, system, and multi layer application issues.

• Perform advanced diagnostics including packet captures, interface analysis, flow data evaluation, and log correlation.

• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across multiple platforms and domains within the OhioOneNetwork.

• Provide Tier II–III support within designated technology areas.

• Implement and support monitoring, alerting, and logging platforms (e.g., SolarWinds, SIEM, Syslog).

• Monitor enterprise systems and respond to alerts in accordance with agency policies.

• Develop automation scripts and tools to reduce manual tasks and enhance reliability.

• Stay current with industry advancements and recommend system improvements.

• Create and maintain infrastructure documentation including standards, diagrams, runbooks, and procedures.

• Maintain equipment location records, incident documentation, and operational reports.

• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior team members and peers.

48 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.

-Or completion of associate core program in computer science or information systems; 30 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.

-Or completion of undergraduate core program in computer science or information systems; 24 mos. combined work experience in any combination of the following: installing, monitoring/maintaining, configuring, upgrading, &/or administering/operating multiple technology domains including 12 mos. work experience in the primary technology specified by the agency in the position description & job posting.

-Or equivalent of minimum class qualifications for employment noted above.
