Job Description:
As a Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN), you will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) to provide nursing care to residents, including assessments, medication administration, and personal care. You will contribute to creating individualized care plans and ensure residents' well-being in a safe and comfortable setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide nursing care under the supervision of an RN, including administering medications and treatments.
Assist with developing and implementing care plans for residents.
Monitor patient progress and report any changes to the supervising RN.
Provide personal care to residents, including hygiene, mobility, and feeding assistance.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and safety protocols.
Document patient information accurately and maintain up-to-date records.
Participate in team meetings and support the nursing team to enhance patient care.
Qualifications:
Graduate Practical Nurse (GPN) license in good standing.
Previous experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is preferred.
Strong communication, clinical, and organizational skills.
Ability to work under the supervision of an RN and as part of a team.
Knowledge of patient care protocols and regulatory guidelines.
