Position: Study Clinician Reporting to: Project Coordinator.

Location: Kisumu Job Purpose The Clinician will provide clinical expertise in the implementation of the Kulindana Project, which aims to expand access to tuberculosis preventive therapy (TPT). Responsibilities include participant screening and recruitment, obtaining informed consent, conducting medical assessments, initiating and monitoring TPT/TB treatment, and managing clinical follow-up visits.

Clinicians will also be responsible for adverse event monitoring, supporting referral systems for participants requiring additional care, and ensuring accurate documentation of all study procedures.

This role is critical for participant safety, high-quality clinical oversight, and strict adherence to the study protocol, Good Clinical Practice (GCP), and institutional guidelines.

Duties & Responsibilities Conduct screening, enrollment, informed consent, and follow-up of study participants.

Perform physical examinations, take medical histories, and perform relevant clinical procedures.

Diagnose, treat, and manage participants in accordance with study protocol and national guidelines.

Initiate and monitor participants on TPT and/or TB treatment Provide counseling and health education to participants.

Document clinical findings and study data accurately in source documents and case report forms.

Assist in the development and review of study tools, SOPs, and training materials.

Participate in community engagement and recruitment activities.

Supervision of other staff Qualification & Experience Must have a diploma or degree in clinical medicine from a recognized institution.

Must have Certificate of Registration and practice license from the Clinical Officers’ Council.

Must have at least 2 years’ post-internship clinical experience; Must have at least 1 year of experience in clinical research Must have Experience in TB research Fluency in both English and Swahili, written and spoken.

Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP), Human Subjects Protection, and research ethics preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with ability to work in multicultural and multidisciplinary teams.
