Bridge clinical expertise and coding accuracy by reviewing medical documentation, supporting coding teams with clinical clarification, and participating in quality improvement initiatives to ensure compliant and precise coding practices.

Qualifications:

Job qualifications & certifications:

Active LPN license

Coding certification or experience

Knowledge of ICD-10-CM and CPT preferred

LPN credential with coding experience required.

Skills:

Strong attention to detail

Clinical understanding of medical terminology

Good communication abilities

Key Responsibilities:

Review documentation for completeness

Support coding team with clinical clarification

Assist in audits and quality improvement

Follow up with providers for needed information

Physical Examination Responsibilities:

None or minimal; primarily office-based
