Our client is a California-exclusive workers compensation defense law firm seeking Workers Compensation Defense Attorneys to join their growing team. This role focuses on representing employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators in workers compensation matters before the Workers' Compensation Appeals Board (WCAB).
The ideal candidate has at least 1.5 years of dedicated California workers compensation defense experience and is comfortable managing a high-volume caseload in a fully remote, paperless environment. Attorneys will handle matters from inception through resolution, including hearings, conferences, depositions, and settlement negotiations.
This position offers strong administrative support, with each attorney paired with a legal assistant who can bill hours on the attorneys behalf. This collaborative billing structure makes it easier to exceed billable targets and qualify for quarterly bonuses (~$13K per quarter / ~$52K annually).
Qualified candidates must hold an active California Bar license and have direct experience practicing workers compensation defense under California law.
