Responsibilities
Providing administrative support and performing general duties
Prepare and type correspondence, reports, forms, charts and graphs as needed
Ensure competency of work from the standpoint of grammar, composition, and format
Assist with departmental files and records as required
Place, accept and screen telephone calls and refer calls to others as appropriate
Receive, open, and distribute incoming mail and documents
Able to operate fax machines and photocopiers
Must have the ability to operate a postage meter and ensure correct postage and date is stamped on letters and packages
Make copies for department as requested in a timely manner according to established quality standards
Responsible for departmental purchasing, management/inventory of supplies and office equipment maintenance such as monthly meter readings
Maintains attendance records of team members and liaise with members of management to ensure compliance with
Hollywood Casino's attendance policy
Maintains strict confidentiality of all files, communications and information in the conduct of company business
Accountable for the physical operation of the Casino Credit function, including pulling, filing and entering of credit information on customer accounts after soliciting information by phone, letter or online.
Responsible for implementing the approved Credit Policy and procedures with respect to establishing casino clientele's credit privilege by evaluating credit history of applicants.
Monitors all credit play and runs reports.
Aids in promotion of new casino credit business.
Establishes disposition of credit issued and follows up on credit decisions.
Reviews player rating to assure legitimate credit play as needed
Any additional duties as assigned by the Player Services Director Requirements
Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude
Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with our guests
High school diploma or equivalent required
One-year experience in a secretarial or administrative position
Flexibility with scheduling
Must be proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Access, Word)
Good verbal & written communication skills, must be fluent and literate in English
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
Capacity to work independently with minimal direction
Must be able to listen and respond to visual and aural cues
On occasion, must be able to tolerate areas containing high noise levels, and bright lights
Knowledge of the hotel/casino industry a plus
Successful or better performance against Performance Appraisal Standards
Ability to adapt to changes often and have strong multi-tasking skills
Teamwork - ability to work collaboratively within the outlet for effective day to day operations
Compliance with all regulatory, governmental, and safety requirement
Ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage multiple priorities in a demanding work environment
Knowledge of and compliance with department, property and company policies and procedures
Physically mobile with reasonable accommodations including ability to push, pull, carry and lift up to 50 lbs., and the ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces
