Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter / Food Prep

Steph’s Bakery & More – Punta Gorda

Steph’s Bakery & More is seeking a dependable Dishwasher / Kitchen Porter / Food Prep Assistant to support our kitchen team. This role is essential to keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently while assisting our chef with basic food preparation.

Responsibilities

Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment

Maintain and properly operate the 3-compartment sink

Assist with basic food preparation as directed by the chef

Maintain organization and cleanliness of the stock room and storage areas

Break down and dispose of cardboard boxes and packaging

Assist with trash runs and waste management as needed

Monitor and record kitchen temperature logs (refrigeration and food safety logs)

Assist with inventory organization and stock rotation

Support the kitchen team to ensure a clean, efficient work environment

Qualifications

Strong work ethic and reliability

Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Ability to lift 25–50 lbs when handling supplies or trash

Team-oriented attitude and willingness to help where needed

Kitchen or restaurant experience is helpful but not required
