Machinist Apprentice - Weekend shift

Starting Pay: $22.00 - $23.75 per hour depending on experience

Hours: Friday - Sunday, 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM (must be available to train on Day Shift for 30-90 days)

We are hiring a Machinist Apprentice to learn precision machining operations using CNC machining centers. This entry-level role focuses on developing skills in machine setup, operation, and part inspection, while producing high-quality components under the guidance of Lead and Senior Machinists.

Key Responsibilities

Learn to set up and operate CNC machines according to established procedures

Assist with production runs, ensuring accuracy and adherence to quotas

Inspect parts for quality and adherence to blueprints under supervision

Learn to make machine offsets and replace tools as needed to maintain optimal performance

Requirements

6 months of prior machine operating or manufacturing experience required

Basic math skills for measurements and calculations

Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Basic computer skills for data input and machine programming

Willingness to learn and follow instructions

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for extended periods

Occasional lifting up to 65lbs

Bend, reach, and handle parts throughout the shift

Frequent handling of parts and machine components

Required PPE: eye protection, hearing protection, MET guard safety shoes
