WHO YOU ARE

You are an eager individual who is looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the community. As a Behavior Consultant, you will ensure that the providers, staff, and clients meet the goals and objectives of the clinic, create an atmosphere where learning and excelling to the greatest potential are a part of the school culture, and improve skills for students affected by developmental disorders through program development, provider training, family support, outreach, technology, and public awareness.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Development of programs, procedures. schedules, and training materials for staff involved with students with challenging behaviors for the purpose of enhancing programs for clients and ensuring that program operations are in compliance with established guidelines

Conduct workshops, trainings, in-service presentations, etc. in clinic management techniques and other topics for the purpose of developing skills and establishing effective relationships with behaviorally or emotionally disturbed students.

Participate in a variety of meetings, workshops and committees for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions and remaining knowledgeable with program guidelines

Provide consultation to school staff, agencies, and families

Support the implementation of skill assessment measures (e.g., VB-MAPP) and functional assessment measures

Aid in resolving student behavioral problems

Communicate with treatment team about student progress and needs

Ensure accurate and reliable data collection on all goals and other target skills related to ABA curriculum

Aide in school programming management by completing integrity checks, creating and adjusting behavior plans, creating procedures, and developing target selection

Advise parents and providers on implementation of programs

Monitor and evaluate student progress

Perform any additional duties as deemed necessary by the Clinical Director

WHAT YOU'LL NEED

Qualifications

Behavior Specialist License (required)

Meets key RBT Competencies

Bachelor's Degree

Master's Degree (preferred)

Board Certified Behavior Analyst Certification (preferred)

Completion of 8-Hour Supervision Course (preferred)

Experience with ABA, VB-MAPP, behavior modification, behavior intervention, and assessments

Experience working with individuals with developmental delays

Clearances & Training Required

Act 33 PA Child Abuse History Clearance

Act 34 PA State Criminal History Clearance

Act 114 FBI Clearance issued by the Dept of Education

Act 126 Mandated Reporter Training Certificate

Act 168 from Previous Employers where you came into contact with children

CPR/First Aid

TB/Physical
