Job Summary

The Senior AWS Integration Developer/Architect will design, develop, and validate cloud-native, API-driven, and event-based integration solutions on AWS.

This role is ideal for hands-on developers with strong architecture experience and deep knowledge of integration platforms such as BizTalk, Boomi, or MuleSoft.

The developer will support the modernization of enterprise integrations from traditional ESB/iPaaS platforms to scalable AWS-native solutions.

This position requires working in a hybrid schedule in Houston, TX.

Key Responsibilities

Design and build cloud-native integration services using AWS technologies.

Develop API-first and event-driven architectures based on AWS managed services.

Implement integrations using Lambda, API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Step Functions, and container platforms such as ECS/EKS.

Modernize existing integrations from BizTalk, Boomi, or MuleSoft to AWS-native services.

Build resilient workflows using retries, dead-letter queues, and fault-tolerant design patterns.

Collaborate with product, platform, and DevOps teams to create integration standards.

Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code for cloud workloads.

Ensure observability with logging, metrics, and tracing using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, or OpenTelemetry.

Drive performance, security, and cost-optimization best practices.

Validate and evolve integration architecture in alignment with business and technical goals. Required Qualifications

7+ years of professional software development experience.

Strong hands-on development, architecture, and integration experience.

Experience with integration tools such as BizTalk, Boomi, MuleSoft, or comparable platforms.

Hands-on experience with AWS services including:

Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB

EventBridge, SQS, SNS, Kinesis, Step Functions, AWS Transfer Family

ECS or EKS with Docker

Experience with Apache Airflow and Azure DevOps.

Strong experience in API design and lifecycle management (REST, OpenAPI, OAuth2).

Proficiency in Java, Python, C#, or Node.js.

Experience with CI/CD automation and DevOps practices.

Experience with infrastructure as code: Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.

Strong understanding of cloud security, identity, and networking.

Familiarity with enterprise integration platforms as a foundation for cloud modernization.

Experience with object-oriented programming and implementation. Preferred Qualifications

Experience building large-scale serverless or event-driven architectures.

Experience migrating from ESB or iPaaS systems to AWS-native services.

Knowledge of microservices, domain-driven design, or hexagonal architecture.

Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka or MSK.

AWS certifications.
