Job Title: Embedded Systems Engineer
Job Description
Join a dynamic team as an Embedded Systems Engineer with a leading manufacturer of surface heaters, temperature controllers, and insulators. Their innovative products are essential in numerous industries for preventing freezing, maintaining flow, and ensuring critical process temperatures. In this role, you will develop software for a diverse range of devices, playing a crucial part in product development from inception to production in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Responsibilities
Develop software for embedded microcontrollers.
Review and update software written by other developers for various platforms.
Perform testing and validation of software and systems.
Interpret electrical schematic drawings.
Review and select electrical components.
Write technical documentation and instructions.
Collaborate on the creation of design requirements and specifications.
Understand and meet compliance and testing requirements.
Collaborate with third-party developers and vendors.
Support manufacturing process controls as needed. Essential Skills
Proficiency in C++, C#, and other coding languages.
Experience with embedded software and microcontrollers.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics and design PCB layouts.
Experience in selecting electrical components.
Proficiency with GIT. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
3+ years of relevant experience.
Familiarity with embedded Linux development (Yocto Project).
Familiarity with PID control logic.
Understanding of thermodynamics and heat transfer.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $45.67/hr.
