Responsibilities and Duties:
Manages the acquisition, allocation and utilization of financial resources needed for information services and support.
Able to take call after hours and on the weekend
Assumes other duties as assigned by hospital leadership.
Familiarity with departmental budgeting, KPI, inventory management related to hardware/licenses required on hand for operational readiness
Detail oriented with demonstrated ability to optimize consultant collaboration with respect to cost and monitoring of deliverables
System Installation & Configuration: Set up and configure new hardware, software, and network components.
System Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance, updates, and upgrades to operating systems and applications.
Performance Monitoring: Monitor system performance and identify potential bottlenecks or issues.
Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical problems with computer systems, servers, and networks.
Security Management: Implement and manage security protocols, access controls, and firewalls to protect against threats and data breaches.
User Support: Provide technical support to end-users, including setting up user accounts and managing permissions.
Data Backups: Perform routine data backups to ensure data integrity and facilitate restoration in case of failure.
Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation, user manuals, and system configuration records.
Technical Proficiency: Expertise in managing various operating systems (e.g., Windows, Linux), hardware, software, and network infrastructure.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues.
Security Awareness: A solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and tools.
Communication: Ability to communicate effectively with users and other IT professionals.
Organizational Skills: Meticulous attention to detail for documentation and system management. Required:
Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field required along with 4 years of industry-related experience or associate's degree in information technology or related field along with 5-7 years of industry-related experience. Preferred:
Cicso certification, VMWare installation and maintenance
Virtualization solutions
Wireless network deployment, security protocols and best practice management
