Computer Operator Direct

Overview

Client is seeking an IT Computer Operator to support a 24x7 data center environment. This role is responsible for monitoring systems, controlling workloads, performing batch balancing, responding to alerts, and supporting internal and global users across a worldwide IT operations environment.

Core Responsibilities

Monitor and control systems and workload adjustments tied to organizational priorities and projects

Perform batch balancing across enterprise systems

Monitor Omega OCM, cloud software, and in-house peripheral/software components

Identify, engage, and resolve system alerts

Support internal and global users with operational issues and calls

Partner with internal teams, external customers, vendors, and support teams

Document issues, activity, and operational updates

Troubleshoot software and hardware problems as needed

Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies

High School Diploma or GED

Minimum 6 months of related experience, training, or education

Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems

Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems

Strong communication, documentation, and reporting skills

Problem-solving ability for software and hardware issues

Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word

Preferred Skills or Experience

Experience in a data center or IT operations environment

Exposure to Omega OCM

Experience monitoring cloud software and enterprise systems

Experience supporting users in a global environmen
