Beebe School District Pre - K - Classroom Paraprofessional Work Schedule 183-day contract.
May be required to attend occasional after-hours events, trainings, or family engagement activities as a normal expectation of the position.
Position Purpose Under the general supervision of the PreK/Day Care Coordinator and the Pre K teacher, the Paraprofessional assists in the daily instructional program.
Essential Functions * Assists teacher in routine classroom operation.
* Implements/follows teacher's instructions for classroom procedures.
* Prepares planned instructional materials, attendance reports and class reports as assigned.
* Assists with the development and maintenance of class and student records.
* Assists in the supervision of students while they are going to special classes, in the cafeteria, on the playground, etc.
and in the classroom.
* Assists with behavior management programs and techniques.
* Understands and assists in meeting the special needs of students.
* Maintains confidentiality and observes professional ethics.
Additional Duties Performs other related tasks as assigned by the Director.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Knowledge of early childhood development and developmentally appropriate practices.
* Ability to supervise and engage preschool-aged children in a safe and nurturing manner.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
* Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
* Ability to maintain compliance with Arkansas licensing requirements.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work Hazards Works in standard school and office environments.
Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds, sit on the floor, bend, kneel, and actively engage in play.
Must be willing to assist with hygiene, toileting, and diapering as needed.
Requires flexibility, patience, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and interactions throughout the day.
Certification/License: Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development OR a CDA credential (preferred).(CDA may be obtained post-hiring). CPR and First Aid certification (required or willingness to obtain). Must be at least 18 years of age and able to pass state background and child maltreatment checks.
Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: Previous experience working with preschool-aged children preferred.
