SUMMARY: The Human Resource Manager is directly responsible for the overall administration, coordination, recruitment and evaluation of the human resource function.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Must show proven initiative, a positive attitude, be team-oriented and be highly enthusiastic.

Must model the behaviors of "MORE Guest Service." * Creates an environment of trust, credibility and cohesiveness through employee engagement, responsiveness, professionalism, and confidentiality.

Build and develop relationships and network with peers, managers and employees.

* Assist Director of HR in matters of employee counseling and discipline and assists in gathering information, advising and counseling of managers and employees.

* Ensure adequate and appropriate documentation, maintenance, and management of employee interactions, investigations, and compliance-required documents, audits, and forms.

* Maintain current knowledge of property benefit programs and assist the Benefits Department in explaining how benefits work, options, and eligibility to employees.

* Participate in administration of the FMLA, via third party administrator; and ADA processes to ensure timelines, compliance and data entry requirements are met.

Handles proper tracking and reporting of all types of federal and company-approved leaves of absence.

* Handles unemployment claims processing and subsequent appeals and hearings.

Represents the company in disputing claims.

* Monitor legal developments in Equal Employment Opportunity and Labor Relations laws and regulations; communicate legal developments and suggest compliance strategies.

* Participate in coordination and implementation of employee recognition programs to ensure company engagement.

* Establishes and maintains department records and reports via the HRIS systems.

* Completes Forms I-9, verifies I-9 documentation and maintains I-9 files * Manage property recruiting function to include: * Partners with hiring managers to determine staffing needs.

* Screens resumes, interviews candidates (by phone or in person), administers appropriate assessments and reference/background checking, makes recommendations for hire (or not hire) and delivers employment offers for both exempt and nonexempt position openings for designated property.

* Serves as an expert for recruiting candidates within an assigned market.

* Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.

* Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.

* Manages internal transfer process, including screening, coordination of interviews with hiring manager, transfer offer letters, etc.

* Follows up with candidates and hiring managers to obtain feedback regarding recruiting process.

* Works with hiring managers to ensure compliance with all federal/state laws and regulations as well as local gaming jurisdiction regulations.

* Manages current candidate activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS). * Manages application/resume file and retention according to company policy.

* Assist employees and management in the interpretation of the company's policies, practices and procedures.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES Will interact with all employees of the Human Resources office on a daily basis as well as other department leaders.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * At least three (3) years of experience in human resources management.

* At least five (5) years of experience in human resources field.

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.

* Strong writing and verbal skills.

* Effective communication and engagement at all levels of the organization, both verbally and in writing * High degree of analytical and interpersonal skills.

* Must embrace a collaborative approach with team members, working in a heavily matrixed environment.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS OR REGISTRATIONS: * Nevada Gaming Registration * PHR or SHRM-CP a plus KEY PERFORMANCE COMPETENCIES * Ability to adapt and be flexible * Outstanding communication skills * Strong problem solving and decision making skills * Understanding of the Company's business and competition * Ability to work collaboratively as member property leadership team LANGUAGE SKILLS Must be able to effectively communicate in English.

Bilingual in Spanish is a strong plus.

Excellent oral communication skills to maintain a professional tone, and ability to communicate with people from a wide range of backgrounds.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

COMPUTER SKILLS Must have Microsoft Office experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and HR systems.
