A school-based opportunity in Seward, NE is available for a Sign Language Interpreter to support a PreK classroom. This part-time contract position requires onsite work and offers a consistent schedule of 3.75 hours per day. The assignment will begin as soon as possible and continue through May 22, 2026.
Qualifications and desired experience include:
Proficient in sign language interpreting for educational settings
Experience working with PreK-aged children is preferred
Ability to work onsite daily
A valid Sign Language Interpreter license is preferred; candidates holding a provisional license will be considered if their EIPA score is below 4.0
Key responsibilities:
Provide interpretation services to support effective communication between students, teachers, and peers within the classroom
Facilitate understanding of instructional material and classroom interactions
Collaborate with classroom staff and other specialists to meet the individual needs of students with hearing impairments
Maintain professionalism and confidentiality in all aspects of work
