DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following job duties and responsibilities are essential functions of the Extended School Year

non-certified instructor, in addition to any duties as may be assigned by the building lead or program director for the duration of the program:

Implement all components of the NHPS Extended School Year Service.

Supervise students as assigned in IEP.

Maintain all required data and record-keeping for summer programming, including a summative student work sample portfolio.

Instruct students in a classroom setting and foster a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.

Monitor and record student attendance.

Determine and implement classroom management procedures and communicate documented student incidents to building leader.

Administer mandated assessments and maintain documentation of student progress.

Maintain professional relationships with building lead, curriculum lead, parents, students, co-workers and other stakeholders.

Adhere to established laws, policies, rules and regulations, including those policies and procedures adopted by NHPS

Ability to effectively use technology to deliver instruction, communicate with stakeholders and be able to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all staff and students.

Ability to communicate effectively using written and oral communication skills and use effective, positive interpersonal skills

*Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher, or NHPS substitute experience

*Compensation: $17.50 per hour

Preference will be given to applicants who have worked previously in ESY
