ApTask Global Workforce (AGW) is seeking a Technical Program Manager III with a Pharmaceutical company. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity with our client located in CA. This is a remote position.
Summary:
This role involves the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex hardware programs that require cross-functional collaboration. The ideal candidate will manage programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget, driving deliverables from engineering design to mass production timelines.
Responsibilities:
Deliver programs within the constraints of scope, quality, time and budget
Manage a group of internal employees and contractors to deliver systems and systems enhancements that meet specified requirements
Manage communication within and between internal cross functional and external partners
Coordinate and drive engineering design deliverables including specifications, DOE, and validation plans
Manage delivery of hardware components for development builds and drive qualification to meet mass production timelines
Create development, delivery, and qualification schedules based on system requirements, technical challenges, lead-times and business needs
Manage program structure to optimize clarity and efficiency for program teams and leadership
Communicate program statuses, identifying potential setbacks, including vendor tooling schedules and design sprints
Ensure program documents are complete, current, and available for staff and leadership review
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
3+ years' experience working as a technology development program manager in consumer electronics
Experience working with overseas suppliers of hardware components
Experience in ODM, JDM, and CM vendor engagement models
Knowledge of phase gate approach to technology development programs
Experience with mechanical system development, design for manufacturing, tooling, validation and characterization processes
Experience with program top issue tracking
Experience operating across multiple teams and programs
Proven people management and team building skills
Strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications/products and business functions
Desired skills:
Project estimating, project scheduling & tracking, customer interaction and management, implementation planning in large organizations
Demonstrated ability to be flexible/ adaptable in exercising judgment in a changing environment and to manage competing priorities
Proven ability to learn business processes quickly and to work well with business partners at different levels within the organization
Adept at communicating, planning, with high level of attention to detail Pay range: Up to $132.28 per Hour
