What You'll Be Doing: Deburring and finishing machined metal parts using hand tools and finishing equipment Performing basic assembly of machined components following shop work instructions Following work processes for finishing metal parts to make sure everything meets quality standards Using basic computer systems to track parts, input production data, and complete forms Assisting with material handling, including operating a forklift (training provided if needed) Occasionally driving a company delivery van to transport parts or materials locally Keeping the shop clean, organized, and running like a well-oiled machine Starting your training toward becoming a machine operator and learning the tech that powers modern machining What We're Looking For: A strong eye for detail - you notice the little things Basic math skills - yes, counting and measurements matter here Basic computer literacy - comfortable typing, tracking parts, and using simple software A self-motivated mindset - you take initiative and like getting things done Willingness to learn - we love curious minds A genuine interest in growing a career in a machine shop environment Ability to operate or learn to operate a forklift Valid driver's license (for occasional local deliveries) Must be 18 years old (it's a real-deal manufacturing shop) Why You'll Love It Here: Hands-on experience in a real manufacturing environment A laid-back but hardworking team Opportunities to grow into higher-skilled roles (machine operator and beyond) Learn new technical and practical skills every day - this is the start of something big ADDITIONAL NOTESARCH Global Precision is an Equal Opportunity Employee and wholeheartedly supports diversity in the workplace as a basic premise for business success.
