Part Time Front Desk & Chiropractic Assistant

Job Description

Part time position (24-28 hours/week). Looking to hire ASAP.

Responsibilities for Chiropractic Assistant & Front Desk

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

2-3 years of relevant experience in an office environment preferred

Able to type 35 wpm minimum

Welcome patients in a warm and friendly manner, and answer any questions visitors have

Punctual with strong attendance history

Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Demonstrated ability to read, write, and speak English

Comfortable multi-tasking and prioritizing tasks without guidance

Answer and direct phone calls in a polite and friendly manner

Maintain reception area and all common areas in a clean and tidy manner at all times

Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer

Keep detailed and accurate records of visitor requests and of calls received

Receive deliveries; sort and distribute incoming mail

Maintain the general office filing system

Supports chiropractic care delivery by preparing treatment area, patient, equipment, and materials, and performs procedures under the supervision of a chiropractor

Prepares treatment room for patient by following prescribed procedures and protocols.

Prepares patients for chiropractic treatment by welcoming, comforting, providing and/or assisting patient into chiropractic apparel

Provides information to patients by answering questions and requests

Helps treat patients by applying heat packs, helping patients onto exercise equipment, setting up on EMS and/or ultrasound, and setting up on spinal decompression

Educates patients by demonstrating proper use of equipment and exercise routines.

Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Provides equipment and supplies by sterilizing and delivering equipment and supplies to treatment area, positioning equipment for therapist access, and positioning patient on equipment.

Maintains chiropractic supply inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level and anticipating needed supplies
