POSITION SUMMARY:
Performs preventive maintenance and troubleshoots and repairs electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment to support all areas of manufacturing and the plant.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to perform essential duties
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum of three years manufacturing maintenance experience a must
Proficiency in hands-on maintenance work, including electro/mechanical tasks
Ability to troubleshoot and repair 480v equipment
Prior computer experience required, Microsoft office skills (especially Excel) to support analysis, documentation, and reporting.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Comfortable working in a fast- paced, team-oriented environment
Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:
· Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numerical controls, power supplies, drives, and forklifts.
· Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled preventative maintenance as directed.
· Must be able to read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Must be able to perform mechanical, electrical, plumbing and carpentry functions.
· Must be able to work beneath machines, in close quarters and at heights performing analysis and repair work.
· Must be able to order replacement parts and communicate effectively with outside service technicians.
· Keep Operations Manager advised of work status, workload, problems and progress as related to work assignments.
· Maintains equipment maintenance records (manual files and computer records).
· Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with the Lockout requirements.
· Maintain work area and equipment in clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.
· Trains operators in operation procedures for working safely with electrical/pneumatic tools and other equipment as directed.
· Must have a working command of the English language and be able to communicate orally and in writing.
· Work when scheduled and comply with the company attendance policy
· Must be willing to work overtime as needed
· Perform all other duties, as assigned.
