Job Overview
As a Circuit Assembly Machine Operator at GE Aviation, you will focus on assembling and testing electronic components for critical aviation systems during our 2nd shift. This fast-paced manufacturing environment demands meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, and a strong commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively operate, set up, and troubleshoot automated and semi-automated machinery used for electronic component assembly and testing.
Monitor machine operations to identify malfunctions, ensuring adjustments are made to maintain the highest product quality and production efficiency.
Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment to guarantee optimal performance and reduce downtime.
Load and unload materials and components into machines, ensuring correct placement and orientation.
Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks using precision measuring instruments to ensure adherence to product specifications.
Accurately record production data, including quantities produced, defects, and machine performance, according to established procedures.
Report any equipment malfunctions, quality issues, or safety concerns to supervisory personnel.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following 5S principles.
Comply with all safety regulations and company policies, including appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience operating manufacturing machinery, ideally in an electronics or precision manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Basic computer skills for data entry and system navigation.
Strong attention to detail and capability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds regularly.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles (e.g., 5S, waste reduction) is a plus.
Must be available to work the 2nd shift (typically afternoon/evening hours).
A strong commitment to safety and quality practices.
