Multimedia Content Production Specialist

Job Type: Full-time

In this role, you will be responsible for the comprehensive production and delivery of multimedia course content—ranging from videos to SCORM packages and assessments. Your focus will be on ensuring that everything we publish is accessible, technically sound, and meets Pearson's high standards of quality. You will work collaboratively with editors, authors, production leads, vendors, and platform teams to develop reliable and scalable learning assets that support millions of learners.

What You'll Do

Multimedia Production (25%)

Manage and enhance workflows to prepare content for delivery across various platforms.

Create scripts and solutions to automate repetitive production activities.

Review and troubleshoot video, audio, and narrative courseware produced by vendors.

Course Packaging (25%)

Build, validate, and deliver SCORM packages for extensive video course collections.

Test and troubleshoot SCORM packages within LMS environments.

Maintain versioning, re-zip workflows, and ensure compliance with client and platform standards.

Collaborate with engineering teams regarding ingestion pipelines and technical delivery needs.

Platform Builds (20%)

Create and maintain course shells, skills, tasks, transcripts, quizzes, and media units in Pearson production systems.

Integrate video, assessments, and metadata into new or migrated course structures.

Work together with editors and producers to ensure consistent structure and naming conventions.

Quizzing, Assessments & Workflow Automation (15%)

Develop, integrate, and perform quality assurance on quizzes for large video collections.

Convert transcripts into unified sets for easy assessment creation.

Collaborate with subject matter experts and editors to ensure questions meet learning objectives.

Systems & Technical Operations (15%)

Act as a technical advisor on compression tools, ingestion processes, and vendor onboarding.

Troubleshoot issues related to access, authentication, and systems impacting production teams.

Maintain organized archives and ensure metadata consistency across all assets.

What You Bring

Experience in multimedia/video production, including tools like FFmpeg, Adobe Media Encoder, and audio optimization.

Strong understanding of LMS courseware development and SCORM packaging.

Experience with AWS/S3 file management and large-scale data transfers.

Familiarity with transcript and captioning tools, along with automated stitching processes.

Proficiency in scripting or automation tools.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach with teams and vendors.

Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across multimedia and LMS platforms.

Your Rewards & Benefits

Compensation at Pearson varies based on skill set, experience, and specific location. The minimum full-time salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000. This position also qualifies for an annual incentive program.
