Lead Quality Engineer

Location: Yankton, SD

Salary: $85,000 - $105,000

Join our dynamic team as a Lead Quality Engineer and play a pivotal role in shaping quality initiatives within a vibrant manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities:

Enhance and lead the performance of the Quality Management System.

Foster continuous improvement through effective Lean methodologies.

Conduct thorough root cause analyses and implement strong corrective actions.

Assist in audits, compliance checks, and process validation activities.

Utilize statistical tools (such as SPC, MSA, and capability studies) to drive performance enhancements.

Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize workflows and plant layouts.

Identify and seize opportunities for process, equipment, and technology enhancements.

Provide mentorship and technical guidance to team members.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of relevant manufacturing experience.

A minimum of 5 years in a Quality Engineering or analogous role.

ASQ Certified Quality Engineer certification is preferred.

In-depth knowledge of quality systems, audits, and compliance standards.

Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T.

Experience with Lean tools and continuous improvement methods.

Exceptional self-starter with strong communication and leadership abilities.

Work Environment:

Primarily day shift, with occasional requirements for nights, weekends, or travel (including overnight stays).

Engage in a hands-on manufacturing environment.

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and maintain prolonged sitting or standing positions.
