Python/Django Software Engineer (3 month contract)
Software Engineer (Python/Django)
Location: Remote
Position: 3 month contract
Rate: $40 - 70/hr
Overview: We're a 3PL Supply Chain company looking for a Software Engineer with strong Python/Django experience. We have two projects to be completed over the 3 month period related to pulling billing data out of our TMS and building a responsive web applicatiton that allows users to view tracking information. We have Claude code available for our developers, but need a true developer, not just someone who can use Claude code.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement web applications using Python and Django frameworks.
Develop and maintain RESTful APIs for data exchange between front-end and back-end systems.
Collaborate with front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
Troubleshoot and debug applications to optimize performance and reliability.
Participate in code reviews and maintain coding standards to ensure high-quality software development.
Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in Python and Django development.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Python Developer with expertise in Django framework.
Experience with SQL databases and writing complex queries.
Familiarity with EDI, API integration, Cargowise, TMS, and Supply Chain concepts is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently as well as in a team setting.
