UMB Fund Services is a recognized leader in investment services, offering a comprehensive range of services for mutual funds and alternative investments. Our Fund Services Application Support team is dedicated to ensuring that our applications and systems operate seamlessly, supporting our mission to avoid any business disruptions.

As a Software Application Developer, you will play a key role in the development and maintenance of our Fund Services applications that integrate with enterprise systems. You will also participate in testing efforts related to application installations and upgrades, alongside a variety of other initiatives assigned by IT leadership.

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence Monday through Thursday, for candidates within the Milwaukee, WI or Kansas City, MO metropolitan areas. We also welcome qualified remote candidates located outside of these cities, within the US.

In this role, your key responsibilities will include:

Designing, developing, and maintaining custom applications that meet organizational needs.

Writing clean, maintainable, and testable code by following industry best practices.

Participating in the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Managing multiple work streams effectively to meet deadlines.

Collaborating with product owners and fellow developers to deliver comprehensive features.

Engaging in code reviews, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement processes.

Troubleshooting production issues and contributing to root cause analysis efforts.

We'd love to hear from you if you possess:

3+ years of experience in application development.

3+ years of proficiency with technologies such as:

C#.NET/VB.NET/.NET (Core or Framework)

RESTful APIs and systems integration.

Cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).

An understanding of security best practices in application development.

Strong database skills with Oracle and SQL Server.

Proficient knowledge of the Microsoft stack, Oracle stack, and Web Services.

Front-end experience with React, Angular, or Blazor.

An understanding of message queues.

Robust problem-solving skills, with the capability to work both independently and as part of a team.

In-depth experience with unit testing and automated testing methodologies.

Bonus Points for:

Experience in the financial industry, particularly in Fund Services.

Compensation Range:

$63,830.00 - $136,580.00

The compensation mentioned represents UMB's standard for this role, but actual compensation may differ based on geographic location, experience, and job-related factors. This range does not capture the full earning potential for this position.
