Location: Columbus, OH / Charlotte, NC / Irving, TX / Iselin, NJ - Hybrid 3 days work a week from any of the mentioned locations

For this role, candidates must have some background or exposure in network/infrastructure. It's perfectly fine if their experience in this area is limited, as long as they have worked in or transitioned into Python development, specifically building automation solutions using FastAPI.

Please ensure candidates meet both aspects:

Some network/infra experience (even basic exposure is acceptable)

Strong Python development experience with automation and FastAPI

Overview

We are seeking an experienced API Developer with a strong background in network load balancing technologies and hands-on software development. This role focuses on building and maintaining APIs that integrate with enterprise-grade network solutions. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in Ansible and Python, with practical experience using FastAPI and Django. Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes or Red Hat OpenShift is a plus. This is not a DevOps position.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain APIs that support network load balancing solutions.

Collaborate with infrastructure and engineering teams to integrate APIs with enterprise network platforms.

Automate configuration and operational workflows using Ansible.

Build and maintain Python-based services using FastAPI and Django frameworks.

Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance through best-practice development standards.

Participate in design discussions, technical reviews, and solution planning.

Contribute to documentation, operational readiness, and knowledge sharing across teams.

Required Qualifications

Strong understanding of network load balancing solutions and related technologies.

Hands-on experience developing APIs in enterprise environments.
