About the Role
The Pastry Supervisor at San Ysidro Ranch involves leadership in pastry production, active involvement in the organization and maintenance of pastry supplies and providing exceptional pastry service. Additionally, the Pastry Supervisor will engage in training initiatives to educate and empower kitchen staff on pastry techniques, standards, and creativity.
Responsibilities
Pastry Production Management
Coordinate pastry production schedules.
Supervise the creation of diverse and high-quality pastries and desserts.
Ensure adherence to recipes and presentation standards.
Pastry Inventory & Maintenance
Maintain inventory of pastry ingredients and supplies.
Organize and ensure cleanliness of pastry storage areas.
Assist in inventory management tasks as needed.
Service
Provide exemplary pastry service to guests, adhering to company standards.
Assist kitchen staff with plating and presentation of pastries.
Support restaurant operations as required, including assistance with table service.
Collaboration & Special Events
Collaborate with the culinary team to develop and execute pastry-focused events.
Participate in menu development and contribute creative ideas.

Pay range and compensation package
Hourly: $27.00-$30.00
