Edgebander Operator

Setting/Hours: 100% In-Office Full-time

Join trak group in partnering with a growing client in Fairfield, Ohio thatâ s expanding its Manufacturing team.

Job Summary:

The Edgebander Operator is responsible for setting up and operating one or more computer numerical controlled (CNC) edgebanding machines to produce high-quality components. This role ensures materials are processed accurately to meet specified dimensions, materials, and color requirements while maintaining production efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate edgebanding machines to produce components in accordance with production schedules and quality standards

Prepare and set up machine systems for daily operation to support production goals

Assist with maintaining banding equipment to ensure proper functionality and maximize throughput

Review instructions, labels, blueprints, and material specifications to prepare work accurately

Measure completed components to verify they meet required specifications

Inspect finished products to ensure quality standards are met and notify supervisors of any issues

Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations

Use equipment and materials efficiently to conserve resources while completing tasks

Support team objectives by assisting with related tasks as needed

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, including workflow optimization, 5S practices, and overall shop efficiency

Perform additional duties as assigned by management

Follow all company safety requirements, including the proper use of safety equipment such as safety glasses

Qualifications:

Experience operating manufacturing machine equipment

Ability to interpret engineering design drawings

Ability to read and use a tape measure for precise measurements

Strong sense of urgency in meeting hourly production goals

Basic reading, writing, and computer keyboard skills

Physical Demands:

Work involves walking, talking, hearing, and using material handling equipment

Close vision is required for detailed work and inspections

Ability to lift, push, pull, and/or carry up to 50 lbs regularly

May be required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl

Work performed in a plant environment with moderately loud noise levels
