EHS Manager Ludington, MI

Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.

Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs, policies, and procedures for the manufacturing facility.

Conduct regular EHS inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures to reduce recurrence.

Develop and deliver comprehensive EHS training programs for all employees.

Manage hazardous waste disposal and ensure proper handling and storage of chemicals and materials.

Drive continuous improvement in EHS performance and culture across the site.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in EHS, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related scientific field.

5-7+ years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment, including supervisory or management roles.

Demonstrated expertise in OSHA, EPA, and other relevant federal, state, and local EHS regulations.

Proven ability to develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

Strong leadership, communication, and training skills with a track record of driving EHS culture change.

Professional EHS certification (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM) highly preferred.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems implementation and auditing.

Proficiency in EHS software platforms and data analytics for trend identification and predictive safety.

Demonstrated experience in developing and leading behavior-based safety programs.

Lean/Six Sigma certification or experience applying continuous improvement methodologies to EHS processes.
