Salary Range: $62,000 - $95,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We partner with manufacturers across Fremont seeking Tool Makers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally, and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit.
Key Responsibilities
Design, fabricate, and assemble precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures.
Interpret engineering blueprints, CAD models, and technical specifications.
Operate and program conventional and CNC machine tools (e.g., mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs).
Perform precision measurements using a variety of metrology equipment to ensure accuracy and quality.
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain existing production tooling and equipment.
Select appropriate materials and apply heat treatments for optimal tool performance and longevity.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize tool design and manufacturing processes.
Recommended Qualifications
Completed Tool Maker apprenticeship or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
Proficiency in operating and setting up conventional and CNC machine tools (mills, lathes, grinders, EDMs).
Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Expertise in using precision measuring instruments and performing quality inspections.
Strong understanding of metallurgy, tool steels, and heat treatment processes.
Bonus Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, Mastercam).
Experience with CNC programming and operation.
Advanced metrology skills, including CMM operation or programming.
Specialized experience in mold making, die making, or jig/fixture design.
