EHS Manager Zeeland, MI

Salary Range: $83,000 - $128,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures in line with regulatory requirements.

Ensure strict compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and company standards.

Conduct regular EHS risk assessments, inspections, and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and implement effective preventive measures for all EHS incidents.

Develop and deliver EHS training programs to all employees, promoting a strong safety and environmental culture.

Manage environmental permits, waste streams, air emissions, and wastewater discharge to ensure compliance.

Prepare and submit all required EHS reports to regulatory agencies and internal stakeholders.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

5+ years of progressive EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.

In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other federal/state EHS regulations and compliance requirements.

Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive EHS programs (e.g., LOTO, confined space, machine guarding).

Professional certification such as CSP, CIH, or CHMM preferred.

Strong leadership, communication, and training skills to foster a positive safety culture.

Bonus Qualifications

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

Experience implementing and managing EHS software systems (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera)

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation

Proven experience leading sustainability initiatives or ESG reporting efforts
