EHS Manager Traverse City, MI

Salary Range: $82,000 - $127,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations and company policies.

Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures.

Conduct EHS risk assessments, audits, and inspections to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.

Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.

Develop and deliver EHS training programs for all employees.

Manage hazardous waste programs and ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal.

Oversee emergency preparedness and response plans.

Maintain EHS records and prepare required reports.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Health, & Safety (EHS), Engineering, or a related science field.

5-10 years of progressive EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.

Deep understanding of OSHA, EPA, and state EHS regulations applicable to manufacturing operations.

Demonstrated experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs and management systems.

Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to influence all levels.

Bonus Qualifications

Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation.

Experience implementing Lean or Six Sigma methodologies in EHS processes.

Proficiency with EHS management software (e.g., Intelex, Cority, Sphera).

Demonstrated experience with multi-site EHS management.
