Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities
Develop and refine product designs and concepts using CAD software.
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
Design for manufacturability (DFM) and assembly (DFA) to optimize production processes.
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes for components and assemblies.
Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities for new and existing designs.
Investigate and resolve design-related issues encountered during manufacturing and product lifecycle.
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure design integrity and feasibility.
Recommended Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.
Expert proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, PTC Creo) for modeling, assembly, and drafting.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and their design implications.
Demonstrated experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
Knowledge of material science and selection for various engineering applications.
Ability to develop prototypes, conduct testing, and analyze results to refine designs.
Bonus Qualifications
Demonstrated experience with FEA or simulation software for design validation.
Hands-on experience with prototyping, fabrication, or shop floor operations.
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles or Six Sigma methodologies.
Proven ability to apply advanced Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.
