Salary Range: $70,000 - $109,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Develop and optimize mechanical designs for new and existing products.

Create detailed 3D CAD models, assemblies, and 2D engineering drawings.

Perform design calculations and simulations to validate product performance and manufacturability.

Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to ensure seamless product realization.

Specify appropriate materials, components, and manufacturing processes for designs.

Manage design changes and engineering documentation throughout the product lifecycle.

Conduct root cause analysis for design-related manufacturing issues and implement corrective actions.

Recommended Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical field.

Proven expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA) for 3D modeling and 2D drafting.

Strong understanding of various manufacturing processes (e.g., machining, injection molding, sheet metal fabrication) and their impact on design.

Experience with Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA) principles.

Proficiency in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and its application to technical drawings.

Ability to select appropriate materials based on application requirements, cost, and manufacturing feasibility.

Bonus Qualifications

Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software.

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Hands-on experience with prototyping, machining, or fabrication.

Familiarity with Project Management principles or software.
