Description:
CNC Machine Operator - Sterling Heights, Michigan
Temp-to-Hire Role - Pay Rate: $17.00 per hour
First Shift Position: 6:00am - 2:00pm Monday - Friday
Second Shift Position: 2:00pm - 10:00pm Monday - Friday
*If selected for role, 10-panel drug test and criminal background check must be completed and have favorable results
Job Scope of the CNC Machine Operator:
The job scope is to ensure an effective working team, a safe working environment, quality product, and maintain continuous operation in accordance with customer orders in an efficient manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of the CNC Machine Operator:
Verify that chip conveyor is turned on
Load/Unload parts in and out of fixtures
Follow written and verbal instructions
Must be able to work at a safe pace
Must be able to meet production expectations
Must be able to complete all relevant documentation
Must be able to run multiple machines at the same time
Clean and maintain equipment and work area
Must participate in 5S responsibilities
Performs other related duties as required
Required Skills/Education/Physical Requirements of the CNC Machine Operator:
Must be able to read and understanding gaging tools needed to complete job or task or have the ability to learn and understand gaging tools
Pervious Automotive Machining experience preferred
High School Diploma or GED
Standing for up to (5) hours continuously. Must have the ability to lift a minimum of 40 pounds consistently with heavier weight necessary at a time
