Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

We are seeking motivated Production Operators to become skilled in operating a variety of extrusion equipment. You will learn to set up machines based on production orders, maintain production quality, obtain samples for quality control, and label and pack finished products.

Responsibilities

Check operating controls and safety of equipment prior to operation.

Obtain materials for processing from inventory bins and report any damaged, defective, or missing materials to the supervisor.

Set up machines based on production orders.

Monitor material quality for any defects and adjust machine parameters as needed.

Label and pack finished products as produced on the machine per work order instructions.

Review work orders and drawings to resolve any conflicts.

Wear a respirator to perform machine setup when necessary.

Maintain a clean and safe working environment in line with company policies.

Comply with OHSA safety standards while performing job duties.

Notify supervisor or manager of any potential safety hazards.

Essential Skills

2 years of experience in machine operation.

Experience working with large machines and materials.

Proficiency in general production tasks such as operating, packaging, and material handling.

High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in heavy general labor, heavy machine operating, carpentry, or construction.

Good attendance and job tenure.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Teamwork and self-motivation.

Fast learning capabilities and patience.

Some power tool and mechanical skills.

Interest in operating machines.

Basic Microsoft Office skills.

Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Huntington Beach, CA.Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.00/hr.
