Quality Technician Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $43,000 - $66,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

Perform detailed inspections of incoming materials, in-process production, and finished goods against specifications.

Utilize precision measuring instruments (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM) to verify product conformity.

Document inspection results accurately, create quality reports, and maintain comprehensive quality records.

Identify, quarantine, and report non-conforming materials or products, initiating corrective action processes.

Assist in root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.

Perform routine calibration and maintenance of inspection and test equipment.

Support the development and improvement of quality control procedures and work instructions.

Recommended Qualifications

Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent work experience in manufacturing quality.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

Demonstrated ability to use precision measurement tools (e.g., calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMM).

Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and quality control principles (e.g., SPC).

Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) for data entry and analysis.

Bonus Qualifications

ASQ Certified Quality Technician (CQT) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification.

Proficiency with statistical software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for data analysis and SPC.

Experience with specific industry quality standards (e.g., ISO 13485, AS9100, IATF 16949).

Advanced Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation and application.

Experience conducting internal audits or participating in external audits.
