Manufacturing Engineer & Estimator
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Engineer & Estimator to join our interdisciplinary team. This hybrid role combines hands-on manufacturing engineering with accurate cost estimating to support quoting, process optimization, and production efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products
Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and CAD models
Collaborate with production, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve manufacturing issues
Support lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects
Review RFQs, drawings, and customer specifications to prepare accurate cost estimates
Work with vendors and suppliers to obtain pricing for materials and outsourced services
Develop bills of materials (BOMs) and job travelers
Provide technical input during bid reviews and customer discussions
Identify cost-reduction opportunities during the quoting and manufacturing phase
Required Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes
Knowledge of quality control standards and regulatory compliance.
Proficiency in Solidworks CAD software
Experience with Epicor ERP system highly preferred
Experience with Gibbs cam or Mastercam is a Plus!
