Now Hiring: General Laborer in Bar Harbor (Must Love Moving Heavy Stuff and Occasional Chaos)

Are you the kind of person who considers 60 pounds just a warmup rep? Do you enjoy work that changes from day to day, keeps you moving, and occasionally makes you wonder, “How did this shelf get here?” If so, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Be Doing

General Laborer will take on a variety of handson tasks, including (but not limited to):

• Cleaning and keeping work areas looking sharp

• Carrying 50 pounds or more, sometimes up to 60 pounds

• Moving shelving, doors, and other materials into the building using carts

• Handling “other duties as assigned,” which may change daily

• Using general knowledge of construction or basic carpentry (helpful but not required)

What You’ll Need

This job is for people who aren’t afraid to bend, twist, lift, push, pull, reach, climb, stoop, walk, and stand—sometimes all before lunch.

Requirements include:

• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds

• Willingness to climb and work from ladders

• Comfort working indoors or outside in all weather conditions

• A positive attitude and flexibility with daily tasks

• OSHA 10 required (if you do not have an OSHA 10, we can pay you to take the course)

Work Environment

Expect a bit of everything: sun, rain, cold, heat, ladders, carts, dust, and the occasional “where did that door go?” moment.
